The delegation, which included representatives of the Committee of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Customs Services, State Standard Agency, the Engineering and Pedagogical College of Dushanbe City, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Association, and UNDP, as well as names from the industry, visited the Presidency of Climate Change on May 24, 2022. During the meeting held with the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Monitoring Department (the National Ozone Unit) under the chairmanship of the President of Climate Change, Mr. Orhan SOLAK, information was shared on Turkey's works on the Protection of the Ozone Layer and the management of Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases. It was stated that Turkey's achievements in phasing-out the substances that deplete the ozone layer were underlined, and that after becoming a party to the Kigali Amendment, the efforts for the phasing-down of Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases accelareted. The meeting was concluded by emphasizing that the Republic of Tajikistan is expected to become a party to the Kigali Amendment in the near future and that the work carried out in Turkey could be a pioneer for them.
